This is what my retinas looked like in August 2000.   You are looking at them from the same perspective that you would have if we were standing face to face (i.e. my right eye is on the left side and vice versa).  The white flecks through the photos are the lipofusin build ups.  Notice that the color is much lighter in the left eye (on the right side of the page here) than on the right.   No mistake there....the left eye is showing symptoms of the disease, and the right one isn't.....yet.
